Getting Started
How do I start using MerchVault?
Sign in, top up your stubs balance, and crack open a vault. Every vault contains a randomized item from a publicly listed pool with rarity weights you can inspect before you buy.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe directly. We never see or store the full number, CVC, or bank credentials.
How does the stubs currency work?
Stubs are closed-loop site credit: 100 stubs = $1 USD. You can use them to open vaults, pay eligible shipping fees, and sell unwanted pulls back to the platform. Stubs cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, transferred, or redeemed for money.
Verifiable Fairness
What does "provably fair" mean?
Before you open a vault, the server publishes a SHA-256 hash of a secret seed. After the roll, the seed is revealed alongside your client seed and nonce. Anyone can re-run the deterministic algorithm and confirm the result was locked in before the open.
How can I verify my vault results?
Every opened vault exposes its server-seed hash, revealed seed, client seed, nonce, and item ID in the app. Use those proof fields with the vault drop table to recompute the result.
Can MerchVault manipulate the result?
The hash is committed before the roll, the seed is revealed after, and the randomization formula is deterministic. If the reveal does not match the commitment, the proof fails.
Merchandise & Shipping
What kind of items can I find?
Officially licensed metal, rock, and indie merch from authorized suppliers: shirts, hoodies, patches, posters, and rotating limited drops. Every item in a vault pool is listed publicly with its rarity weight.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. Physical shipment is currently limited to verified U.S. addresses. If we add international shipping, the checkout flow and shipping policy will show the supported countries, cost, timing, and any customs responsibility before you confirm.
Can I sell items back for stubs?
Yes. Every item shown in a vault can be sold back for stubs equal to its full listed value. Sell-back is paid in MerchVault stubs only. It is not a cash-out, refund, withdrawal, or payment service.
What if an item is out of stock?
If a physical item cannot be fulfilled, support can restore the item’s full listed value to your stubs balance, restore any related shipping fee, or provide another remedy required by law. The proof of the roll still stands.
Account & Support
Can I get a refund?
Vault openings are final once the seed is revealed. We may issue refunds or restore stubs for documented technical failures, fulfillment problems, or situations where a refund is required by law.

Can I create my own vaults?
Community vault creation is on the roadmap. When it ships, custom pools will go through a review pass before they’re openable by other users.
